I was surprised to find that the brush design had changed. The design is much improved!

I really feel this softer head will be better for my hardwood floors in terms of lessening the chances of scratching the finish. Unfortunately, I don't believe it is as effective at dust and dirt removal as the standard head is. Personally, I feel like it would work amazingly if the floor was first misted with an extremely scant amount of liquid floor cleaning spray. I'm not sure if this is either recommended or prohibited by the flooring or vacuum manufacturers, but I'm going to try it anyway
